The reveal of the next Crash Bandicoot game seems to have a date. So there’s a pretty credible indication that the Game Awards 2022 will be used to showcase the title.
The Game Awards 2022 are coming. Publishers and developers like to use the event to showcase games announced shortly before the turn of the year or to make one or the other announcement. And one item on the agenda already seems to be set.
This week, Activision sent out special “Aku Aku’s Steam-In Pizza Shack” boxes to influencers. They first hinted that Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will be coming to PC on October 18, 2022 via Steam.

The box also hinted that Crash Bandicoot: Wumpa League, a game that has been rumored several times in the past, will be unveiled later this year.
A sticker on the box reads: “Hungry for more? Try our new Wumpa Pizza for $12.08. This is probably a reference to the Game Awards 2022, which will air on December 8.
The Wumpa League is rumored to be a previously unannounced four-player brawl. Toys for Bob would be working on this title.
In August, the developer had already hinted at a new project. Including Activision studio tweeted an imagewith 17 games already in development and an unannounced 18th title.
Toys for Bob made a name for themselves with the series “Skylanders”. Recently, the company developed Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time from 2020 and Spyro Reignited Trilogy from 2018.
