After all, the development game in the Soviet setting was crowned “the most complex development game he knows” by strategy and history expert Steinwallen in our podcast. And that should mean something:

In our podcast, strategy expert Writing Bull raves about the fact that no other development game so far has managed to captivate him with its atmosphere:

Timberborn

Timberborn-Preview - Already a great city building with potential for more

Timberborn-Preview – Already a great city building with potential for more

Developer: Mechanism | In Early Access since: 2021 | Planned release: still known | Scoring tendency: 70-80

There is only one species that loves building more than Annoholics: beavers. So it is only logical that sooner or later they will become the heroes in a city building simulation. Of course, Timberborn shines mainly with its incredibly fresh setting, but the development game in Early Access also has a lot to offer mechanically – because the beavers are not just a funny gimmick.

There are two factions: one beaver colony prefers to build with their proven wood, the other uses human scrap as material for their projects. In addition, of course, the animals experience their absolute favorite pastime and build dams and clever river constructions with water wheels and Co. Want to read more about the building game?
