We’ll tell you what this new link option means.

Sony now offers the option to link your PSN account to your Steam account when playing Sony titles on PC. There will be bonuses in the future. We tell you how it works and what benefits you get from it.

Link PSN to Steam – This is how you do it

How do you connect your PSN account to Steam? Unfortunately, you cannot directly link the two accounts. Instead, you’ll need one of the following Sony PC games:

More games like Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, The Last of Us Part 1, and Sackboy: A Big Adventure will be added in the future. If you have installed one of the games on the PC and launched it for the first time, you will be prompted to set your privacy options and log in to PSN.

If you then enter your ID and password or create a PSN account, your accounts will be linked. You can also manually link the accounts in the PC game options. Fortunately, you only have to do this once and you don’t have to repeat it with every game.

However, you will have to be patient in the future until the PC version of the PS4 and PS5 titles are submitted later:

What could follow in the future? It would make sense if Sony provided a feature that allows for cross-progression and cross-pay. This way console and PC players could play together and save their saves on console and PC at the same time, so no progress is lost when switching – plus buy a game once and play on different platforms. But that’s just speculation so far.

The “Xbox Play Anywhere” model is a good example of what Sony plans for the future. If you purchase any of the listed Xbox titles from the program, you will get it for both the PC and your Xbox console. In addition, the saved game is carried over to both versions, so when you switch, you can pick up where you left off. So it remains to be seen if and when Sony will add this feature later.

Are you going to link your accounts or are you still waiting for certain features?
