Meghan Markle on Archetypes Podcast: “Yeah, but she was such a slut…” | entertainment

Duchess Meghan (41) returns to her favorite subject in her current podcast episode ‘Archetypes’: the systematic discrimination against women. On the occasion of this episode, she goes back to her old high school and breaks gender stereotypes with the students there.

On her podcast, Meghan says that a man is often celebrated when he is “having fun.” “But I don’t care about a woman if she’s arguably the most successful woman in finance in her mid-50s. I promise someone will come and say, ‘Yeah, but she was such a slut in college. ‘”

Prince Harry’s wife (38) receives support in this episode from trans actress Mj Rodriguez (31) and “Sex and the City” author Candace Bushnell (63).

“I wanted to revisit a big part of my origin story, my old school, and find out if those labels are part of the self-identification of the young women there, or if they’ve given themselves the space to be human,” Meghan said of her surprise visit to her old high school in Los Angeles.

Meghan talks about the “Immaculate Heart School”. How handy: the school is an hour and a half drive from her current home in Montecito. However, high school is not for the average citizen, parents have to pay the equivalent of almost 20,000 euros per year for school. The students lack nothing!

Swimming pool, fitness studio or large balcony – it’s hard to believe that people also study here. Meghan on the visit: “I was happy to be back and it was also a lot of fun, especially when I made a surprise visit and just stormed into a young women’s volleyball training.”

Meghan also exchanged ideas with graduates and they didn’t just have good things to say. They often have to be told the “B word” (in German: “Zicke”) – the Duchess has often questioned the uncritical use of this term. And the former students assured her that bullying and harassment are also serious problems at the renowned “Immaculate Heart School”.

Meghan herself went to school in her hometown of Los Angeles from the age of twelve to seventeen. Her father Thomas Markle (78) was only able to pay the tuition fees because he won the lottery.
