The interior design reveals a lot about a person’s character. Often we gradually make a space our own, adding new elements and making changes again and again. The furnishing does not always correspond to the housing needs, because we rarely think about what we really need.

The conscious design of the living space starts with basic questions: What is important to me? Do I need a retreat to be alone? Do I like cozy evenings with friends or do I have professional obligations that require a representative space? In a relationship, these questions can already lead to differences or conflicts, since the living wishes of the partner do not have to match yours. A relaxed, cozy atmosphere has a positive effect on mood and health. Colors play an important role in this. With the right choice of color you can promote concentration or sleep, among other things.

The perception of color is different, but numerous studies make it possible to make general statements about the color effect. In principle, we distinguish between: cold and warm colors. Warm, natural tones such as beige create a cozy atmosphere and are therefore often used in the living room. Brown and orange are a perfect match. In the bedroom, cool tones such as blue or green are more suitable because they promote sleep.

Also the Lightning is important in this context, because it can also stage the colors. The lighting situation must be adapted to the respective room: in the work area you need good daylight so as not to strain your eyes, in the living room a dimmed light is more comfortable.
