Goldene Henne 2022: Nana Mouskouri fights back tears at Silbereisen

Today, for the 28th time, Germany’s largest audience award, the Golden Henne, will be awarded. Florian Silbereisen leads the gala organized by SUPERillu and MDR television – and promises many emotional moments. All information about the show in the BUNTE.de ticker protocol.

And to Kaiser: “Roland was very young then, at least younger than me.” He smiles. Emotionally Mouskouri ends her short acceptance speech: “It all started here in Germany – and here it all ends with the singing”. A firework of emotions – and a fitting end to the glamorous gala! The pop singer is reminiscent of the singer’s huge successes. Only world star Madonna managed to sell more records than Nana Mouskouri. By the way: Kaiser once wrote a song for the 87-year-old. “Unfortunately it was not as successful as ‘White Roses from Athens'”, he laughs.

10:45 PM: One of the highlights of the Goldene Henne is approaching: the nominees in the drama category are presented. The lucky winner is… Svenja Jung (“The Palace”)! She especially thanks her sister, who acted as her doppelgänger during the filming – and without any camera experience.

10:25 PM: Antonia Zöllmann is one of the volunteers who care for the affected children. Moderator Silbereisen spontaneously asks the young woman on stage – and laudator Mareile Höppner actually has another surprise hen with her: In the category “Charity”: In her laudatory speech, the moderator falters repeatedly. “As a mother, I worry about myself,” she explains. In the current situation, children are inundated with bad news, sometimes overwhelmed. The use of the helpers is all the more important – people like Antonia. “Today you get the Goldene Henne for your tireless efforts – I would say as a fire brigade for the soul.” Antonia thanks her colleagues who are committed to saving the souls of children: “Today I am not alone on stage”.

10:25 PM: Antonia is one of the volunteers who takes care of the affected children. Moderator Silbereisen spontaneously asks the young woman on stage – and laudator Mareille Höppner even has another surprise hen with her: in the “Charity” category.

10:19 PM: And it’s getting serious again: In Germany, 150,000 children are becoming depressed, and the number has risen dramatically during the corona pandemic. “I just want to have fun, just like everyone else around me,” reports one affected girl. The children find it difficult to correctly classify or describe their feelings, says Prof. Ulrich Hegerl, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the German Depression Aid Foundation. That is why education is extremely important.

9:59 PM: Andreas Gabalier and Michael Patrick Kelly are now competing for the Goldene Henne in the music category. And the winner’s name is… Michael Patrick Kelly! The award is presented by a good friend of the singer (and also a top musician), Rea Garvey. “You stand for family, for friendship, for faith – you stand for music,” he explains in his laudatory speech.

9:43 PM: The good deeds are not over yet: there is a check for 25,000 euros for material costs for the National Park Friends Saxon Switzerland Association.

Firefighter Toni Becomes “Everyday Hero”

9:35 pm: A very different subject – but just as emotional. A clip shows horrific photos from Saxon Switzerland. In August, large parts of the forest burned down – the flames destroyed everything, ate by nature. One of the honorary firefighters: One of the honorary firefighters: Toni from Bad Schandau. As the representative of all fire heroes, he now deserves the applause of the public. “We can’t thank the helpers enough!” announces Silbereisen – and leads the everyday heroes on stage. Of course, the host will not let the gentlemen go without an honorary hen. Frontman Toni Krahl is visibly moved – thanks the fans for their decades-long loyalty.

Musician Wincent Weiss gave her the second hen of the evening.

These include the film stars Katrin Sass, Sebastian Koch, Nadja Uhl & Fabian Hinrichs, the musicians Leony, Andreas Gabalier, Michael Patrick Kelly, the nine-time German champion Eisbären Berlin, DFB Cup winner RB Leipzig, dressage rider Jessica von Bredow-Werndl or young actress Hannah Schiller.
