On Friday, RB Leipzig surprisingly announced the divorce from technical director Christopher Vivell. Apparently this has something to do with Chelsea.
From the Bundesliga to the Premier League? Christopher Livell.

The fact that Chelsea have found a soft spot for the RB model since acquiring Todd Boehly cannot be overlooked. First there were loose rumors that RB Leipzig boss Oliver Mintzlaff would be a candidate for the newly formed board, then the transfer of sports director Christopher Freund from Salzburg to London erupted. Now Christopher Vivell is apparently drawn to the blues.
On Friday, the residents of Leipzig surprisingly announced that the technical director had already been released on Thursday due to “different opinions”. Now the “Guardian” and other English media are unanimously reporting that Vivell will soon fill the same role at Chelsea.
The 35-year-old is said to have held talks in London on Tuesday. According to reports, people in Leipzig were not impressed by Vivell’s idea of emigrating.
Oral agreement between Leipzig and Nkunku
And when it comes to staff on the pitch, Chelsea, who are still looking for a sports director independently of Vivell, are shamelessly looking to RB. Christopher Nkunku has been linked for days with a switch from Leipzig to the Blues next summer.
RB has never confirmed reports that the new contract, which the Frenchman signed in the summer until 2026, contains an exit clause of 60 million euros. According to kicker information, there is no such written agreement for next summer, but there is an oral agreement to prevent him from standing in the way of a fair offer.
